The new ESCL Essay Prize
After a decade of operating the Masters Thesis Prize, the ESCL General Assembly commissioned a review of the competition by the Society’s Board with two main objectives:
· to extend eligibility beyond students, to include young professionals, practitioners and academics;
· to encourage entries from more member states.
A Thesis Prize Review Committee was appointed and the new ESCL Essay Prize proposal is the result of its work.
The ESCL invites students, young professionals, practitioners and academics to send in their essay concerning construction law.
The maximum length of an entry is 5000 words, excluding references and footnotes/ endnotes. Each entry must include an accurate word-count.
Entries will only be accepted in English.
The first price will be awarded with € 2,500.00 and the second prize will be awarded with € 1,000.00.
The essay must be submitted within the period 1 January to 1 October 2022. The submission deadline has been extended to the beginning of October 2022. Submissions are accepted until 1 October 2022 at 17:00 CEST!
We look forward to receiving interesting essays!
