The object of Belgian Society for Construction Law is the study of the private and public construction law – national and international. The Society organizes on average 6 lunch conferences, 1 congress and 1 site visit per annum, and collaborates at the edition of reference books e.a. publications.
BVBR-ABDC is a truly Belgian association with members originating as well from the Flemish, Walloon and Brussels region and working languages Dutch and French. The Society is composed of some 80 members – all individuals: university professors, judges, court experts, attorneys, in-house counsel coming from public office as well as private construction, engineering and insurance companies, architects, e.a.
ABDC-BVBR provides a platform where specialists can exchange opinions about recent developments of legislation, European and national case law, model contracts and standard specifications. The society promotes the dialogue between the legal advisors of public and private clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
From time to time events are set up in collaboration with other industry associations, as well as other member societies of the European Society of Construction Law.
