On the Annual ESCL Conference in Frankfurt am Main in Germany on 11/12th November 2011, Belgium took over the Presidency of the ESCL. The election of Prof. Dr. Benoît Kohl and Mr. Marco Schoups as joint ESCL presidents for the year 2011-2012 was met with enthusiasm.
Prof. Dr. Benoît Kohl and Mr. Marco Schoups take over the presidency from Mr Hartmut Paulsen (German Society of Construction Law) who is now the ESCL Second Vice President 2011-2012.
The Belgium SCL (Belgische Vereniging voor Bouwrecht / Association Belge du Droit de la Construction) is going to host the 2012 Annual Conference which is going to take place in Liège.
Professeur Hugues Périnet-Marquet of the French SCL (Association Française pour le Droit de la Construction) was elected as ESCL First Vice President 2011-2012, and the French SCL will take upon itself to fulfil the ESCL presidency in the year 2012-2013.
